The more we get together the happier we'll be!

You can make up your own verses for this song!  Think up other things that friends can do together!  Here are a few suggestions:
The more we...
play together
dance together
read together
clap together

Two little pigs lived in a pen,

Each had 4 babies and that made ten.

These four babies were snowy white,
(wiggle fingers on one hand)
These four babies were black as night
(wiggle fingers on other hand)
All eight babies loved to play,
(wiggle all fingers)
And they rolled and they rolled in the mud all day!
(roll hands)

Icka backa soda cracker,
Icka backa boo!

Icka backa boo!
Icka backa soda cracker

This Toddler Storytime was presented at Bellevue Public Library on April 8, 2015.

Books:

Edible Colors by Jennifer Vogel Bass

Magic Colors by PatrickGeorge

Songs:

Everybody Say Hello!
(tune: "London Bridge")

Everybody say hello, say hello, say hello,
Everybody say hello, hello Wesley!

(Wesley is my turtle puppet who pops out of my apron pocket whenever we sing this song.  Then he sits quietly on his rock and listens to the stories and sings along with us.  At the end of storytime he says goodbye to the children, gives them high fives, eats pretend food from their hands, blows kisses, and plays hide and seek!)

If Your Clothes Have Any Red
(tune: "If You're Happy and You Know It")

If your clothes have any red, any red,
If your clothes have any red, any red,
If your clothes have any red,
put your finger on your head,
If your clothes have any red, any red.

If your clothes have any:
...white...then please smile with all your might...
...yellow..smile just like a happy fellow...
...green...wave your hand so you are seen...
...black...put your finger on your back...
...blue...put your finger on your shoe...
...pink...give me just a little wink...

Playtime Activities:

What's in the Green Box?

The green box, the green box?
What's in the green box
For us to play?

Baby & Me Storytime~ March 31 & April 2

This Baby & Me Storytime was presented at Bellevue Public Library on March 31 & April 2, 2015.

This was an especially fun week at Baby & Me Storytime!  Since Bellevue Public Schools was on Spring Break, we had several school-age siblings (and a couple Baby & Me "graduates"!) join us for storytime.

Book:

I Love You Through and Through by Bernadette Rossetti Shustak,
illustrated by Caroline Jayne Church

Songs:
Let's Shout Hooray!
(tune: "Old McDonald Had a Farm")

At storytime we have friends today.
We're so glad let's shout hooray!

As we go around the circle the adults introduce themselves and their little ones.  After each introduction we sing this song, replacing the word "friends" with the child's name!  It's always fun to raise our hand and shout "Hooray" at the end of each verse!

London Bridge

London Bridge is falling down,
Falling down, falling down.
London Bridge is falling down
My fair lady.

Skinnamarink

Skinnamarink-a-dink-a-dink
Skinnamarink-a-doo

And in the afternoon.
I love you in the evening
And underneath the moon, oh,

Skinnamarink-a-doo
I love you!
