Songs:
The More We Get Together
The more we get together,
Together, together,
The more we get together,
The happier we'll be.
'Cause your friends are my friends,
And my friends are your friends.
The more we get together,
The happier we'll be!
The more we read together...
(pretend to open a book in your hands as we sing!)
The more we hug together...
(Find someone to hug while we sing this verse!)
Read a Book
(tune: "If You're Happy and You Know It")
If you want to know an answer, read a book!
If you want to know an answer, read a book!
If you wonder where the moon goes,
Or you want to know how grass grows,
If you want to know an answer, read a book!
If you want to learn to draw, read a book!
If you want to learn to draw, read a book!
If you want to draw a dog,
Or a frog on a log,
If you want to learn to draw, read a book!
If you want to learn to bake, read a book!
If you want to learn to bake, read a book!
If it's cookies or a cake,
Or a pizza that you make,
If you want to learn to bake, read a book!

Five Books in My Backpack
Five books in my backpack,
I wish I had more.
I gave one to my friend,
And then I had four.
Four books in my backpack,
Funny as can be.
I gave one to my brother,
And then I had three,
Three books in my backpack,
Exciting and new.
I gave one to my sister,
And then I had two.
Two books in my backpack,
'Cause reading is fun!
I gave one to my teacher,
And then I had one.
One book in my backpack,
And... I'm KEEPING this one!
I loved seeing so many families come out for our first Momaha Story Time tonight! I hope you had as much fun as I did, and will make plans to join me again next month! Our next Momaha's Bellevue Story Time will be held at the library on Thursday, September 5 at 7 PM.
Here are some photos from tonight's event:
My thanks to Josie Loza and Tunette Powell for coming out tonight to represent Momaha!
I look forward to working with you in the coming months!
