Presented at Bellevue Public Library on Thursday, June 27, 2013.
This event was canceled due to the morning's steady drizzle, but when a number of children and adults from a daycare arrived with lunches in hand, we called an audible and decided to hold Dine with the Diggers inside!

Touch-a-Truck!
Presented at Bellevue Public Library on Thursday, June 27, 2013.
Our thanks to David, Matt and the rest of the wonderful, generous folks at Nebraska Machinery Company for supplying the equipment for today's event! They were also kind enough to supply plastic safety helmets for the children!
Did you know there is a machine called a Feller Buncher?!? Do you know what a Knuckleboom Loader looks like?? If you click on the link above (as I did!) you can see different kinds of construction equipment!
Here are some videos and photos from our event:

We had a great time - despite the steady drizzle - with around 90 people attending this event. As you can see, the children loved climbing into the cab of the mini excavator and mini skid steer and pretending to take charge of their own construction site! As you can tell from the video clips, they especially loved honking the horn! David and Matt have assured me that their hearing should be back to normal before too long!
