One hammer, one hammer.

All day long.

Johnny works with three hammers...(2 fists, one foot taps floor)
Johnny works with four hammers...(2 fists, 2 feet)
Johnny works with five hammers...(2 fists, 2 feet, nod head)

Papa Bear, Papa Bear

Papa Bear, Papa Bear, turn around.
Papa Bear, Papa Bear, touch the ground.
Papa Bear, Papa Bear, reach up high.
Papa Bear, Papa Bear, touch the sky.

Papa Bear, Papa Bear, nod your head.
Papa Bear, Papa Bear, go to bed.
Papa Bear, Papa Bear, turn out the light.
Papa Bear, Papa Bear, say goodnight.

Each Papa Bear & Me Storytime includes activities that support one or more of the five early literacy practices identified as essential in helping your child develop the skills they need before they can learn to read. The five practices – singing, talking, reading, playing and writing –were developed for Every Child Ready to Read®, an initiative of the Association for Library Services for Children (ALSC) and the Public Library Association (PLA).
